Purchase items (17 posting(s))

By Dawn F Brady on 2008-05-27 09:15 AM

I was wondering if you had a website where you could purchase items on line from any one of your 4 theme parks. We just visited and stayed at the Disney All Star Music and there are some other items I want to purchase.
Along with other things I am looking for Hollywood Studios post cards.
Please let me know. THank you.

Unfortunate experience (23 posting(s))

By K C Piece on 2008-05-27 09:43 AM

Dear Sir or Madam,

This is to advise you of the unfortunate experience I had the other day with my daughter. I have been an avid supporter and customer of Disney, Disney Channel, and its products for years. My son's crib sheets feature the Disney babies. I have all of the animated videos, and I frequently recommend them to other parents in search of wholesome fun for their children. My daughter loves the Cheetah Girls, and she owns the CDs, bed sheets, and videos. On Sunday night, I showed my daughter the television version of Cinderella featuring Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Whitney Houston, and a host of other stars. My six-year old told me that Cinderella had blond hair, not black hair. She actually went on and one for the first few minutes of the movie that I must have been mistaken, that the movie could not be Cinderella. She eventually settled down, but the experience really struck a cord with me. I find it disheartening that my daughter cannot imagine that a princess could be anything other than Caucasian. With all of the animated Disney princesses, to the best of my knowledge, there is not one Latin or African American/Black princess. In such a beautifully colorful world, there is very little diversity among the animated princesses. Why is that? There is only one Asian princess, one Middle Eastern princess, and one Native American princess.

I would really appreciate more diversity. There needs to be an African American/Black princess and a Latin princess. I thought I heard that the first animated African American/Black princess film would be released late last year, but nothing happened. I trust that you will take the time to rectify this situation.

Thank you for your consideration.

Complaint About The Disney Channel's Sexual Exploi (24 posting(s))

By Henry Phillips on 2008-05-27 09:44 AM

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to tell you that my family noticed your sexual exploitation of a child this evening, and we were shocked, sickened, and disheartened. During the program ending at 9pm EST, my daughter pointed out to me that you showed fully half of a young boy's "butt crack" (for lack of a more specific term). This was one of the Jonas Brothers, at the end of their "When I Look In Your Eyes" video. This sexual exploitation of a child is most foul. You should be ashamed. I have filed a complaint with the FCC, and am contacting friends and family about this.

We will be boycotting Disney products, AND ALL PRODUCTS advertised on the Disney Chanel, for 3 months, or until we hear of your public apology/reprimand concerning this specific video.

Wanting to Become a Disney Channel star (29 posting(s))

By Hfourjthree on 2008-05-27 09:45 AM

Greetings Disney Channel,

First of all, I would like to say you guys do an amazing job on Disney Channel. I love some of your disney channel shows. They are awsome and funny.

Second of all, I've wrote a letter to you around March, and I've never gotten a letter back. I don't know if you were going to write me back or anything, but I had a feeling that I wasn't going to get anything back, so I decided to e-mail you.

Anyways, I'll tell you a little about myself. I'm a 15-year-old high school freshman (about to become a sophomore) living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I like to sing and write songs about anything. I began singing at the age of 10, and began writing songs at age 11. My goal is to become a famous teen singing sensation before I hit age 17 or 18. I am interested in making a music video for disney channel. I would love to show people who I am, and my kind of talent. I want to become a singing legend and make history for my family. Disney teen singing sensation stars, like Miley Cyrus, and other teen singing sensations, like Tiffany Evans, Keke Palmer, and Teyana Taylor, had influenced me to become a teen singing sensation so bad. Just like me, my little sister also wants to become a famous singer. She writes songs a little bit, and she practice her singing everyday. I know my sister wants to become a singer, just as bad as I do. The best part about becoming a singer is that you get complimented on doing such good work, and having people jammin to your songs. I don't want to do it just for the fame. I want to do it for women's history, and my family's history. I really want to be apart of history. I want to be remembered as one of the most talented young stars in history, and have future female teen stars follow my footsteps.

I want to sing in my own music video for a song I wrote about a week ago. The song is about teens having fun on the weekend, going out and having a good time when school is out. I was wondering if it could be on the new disney channel movie "Camp Rock" soundtrack, or just a normal music video for disney channel.

Please e-mail me back, as soon as you get this e-mail and tell me what you think about this situation. I thank you so much for reading this e-mail (if you did), and I hope to expect an e-mail from you by this Sunday or Monday. And if I don't get an e-mail back, then I would probably understand. I'm going to keep going, until my dream come true. I will not stop until I make it!

India Night 5/16/98 (6 posting(s))

By Patricia Rydeen on 2008-05-27 09:50 AM

Oh my goodness, but did I have one very disappointed little girl on Friday. She wore (silk!) Indian clothes to school. We went to the Indian grocery store for appropriate treats for TV watching. Since we don't have cable we had to drive for 45 minutes to get to grammy's house. The Hindi HSM2 videos were interesting, but not enough to drive that far when gas is 4 dollars a gallon. The 2 minute promo for the August release of the Cheetah Girls' movie was soooooooooo disappointing. We kept waiting for more. We won't cancel our cable over this because we don't have it to cancel. Should the opportunity arise, we will visit Disney World again. But I don't think that my 8 year old will be all that interested in Disney anymore. She was indignant that Disney doesn't know how important India is. The part that Disney didn't really get is that there are a whole lot of non-resident Indians living in the US. Indian kids don't see themselves on TV much, which translates to them and their classmates that India is inconsequential. My daughter was telling people for weeks to watch "my India" on Disney, and the Disney part was BIG because Disney is cool. (The travel channel has no authority in the 8 year old world.)

I wish you had delivered on the hype.

Miley Cyrus photos (0 posting(s))

By Sylvia Blanton on 2008-05-27 03:09 PM

As a mother of six children, five daughters and one son I am appalled about the Miley Cyrus photos that have cropped up. Yes, all children make mistakes but not all children are being marketed as a role model for other children to look up to. I feel badly for her and her family but I will not watch her television shows or purchase any of her things at this point. I do not want my daughters thinking this is how they are supposed to behave. I hope you will do the right thing and quit stuffing Miley Cyrus down the throats of the impressionable young people that watch your channel.

Audition for Disney (11 posting(s))

By Sarah Brooks on 2008-05-28 07:50 AM

My name is Sarah Brooks, i am 15 and live in Michigan.
I would love to auddtion for Disney, I have been acting since i was 6 and have been in around 15 plays. Since i live in Michigan the number of addutions are slim. My family has thought about going to California for a few weeks so i could have more options, but it's just to much money to fly out for a little while.
I would be deligthed to send you a video. I feel like I have much to offer as a role model for young girls, I have a squeaky clean record, and on top of the I am diabetec, and Jewish, which I fell are two unqiue qualities that make it much easier for people to relate to me. If you coild consider me for any upcoming adutions you may be having it would be truly an honor (as corny as that may sound it's very true). Even if you could tell me what I would need to do as my next step that would be fantastic!!!
Thank you so much for your time :)

Camp Rock Premiere (2 posting(s))

By Evelyn McKay on 2008-05-29 07:30 AM

I am considering having a Camp Rock Premiere party for my daughter to celebrate her 9th birthday. We live in New York and the movie starts at 8:00PM EST. Can you tell me when the movie will actually end - 9:30, 9:40PM or 10:00PM, etc - the exact time. I have searched all your websites but cannot find the information and the TV listings do not indicate their listings more than 14 days in advance. It may not seem to be a big difference for the timing but with 9 year-olds juiced with pizza, cake and the Jonas Brothers, I need to determine their “crash time” so their parents can carry them off to bed. Would appreciate a response as soon as possible for invitation purposes. Thanks so much!

Great show idea for the Disney Channel (8 posting(s))

By Kaite Martin and Lauren Rede on 2008-06-02 12:03 PM

-Disney Channel
My friend and I have thought of a great show idea for the Disney Channel. We have thought of a "talk show" program for teenagers. In the show we would have fun contests, great guest, talk about topics that teenagers can relate to. The adults in the world have have talk shows like Ellen, Dr. Phil,Oprah,The View, Reggis and Kelly Live. Why can't the kids between the ages of 10-15 have a show that they can relate to the topics? Lauren and I (Katie) love to cook so maybe we would have a 10 minute segment of the show to show lids of to cook healthy and good. But, we would LOVE to try this idea out but what we want to know is who do we contact to get the idea running maybe? Please write back with an address that we could maybe write to.
I am sorry to bother you I am sure you get show ideas all the time.

Thank You for your time!

Suggestion Wizards of Waverly Place (10 posting(s))

By Evan da ELF on 2008-06-09 07:43 AM

I have an idea for an episode on wizards of Waverly place.

Here it is:

Alex drinks more of the love potion (again), but this time she also learns transformation. So, she falls in love with herself and transforms herself in to a super model( and a stuck up one at that). Now every one is in love with her and the spell is undoable. And Alex does not want to transform back because of the potion.

This would be a two parter

Disney Channel complaint (7 posting(s))

By Staci Armstrong on 2008-06-12 07:47 AM

I have allowed my children to watch your pre-teen programming assuming that the content was safe for them and have noticed as of the last 6 months that you are allowing your programs to use the phrase "O my God". This phrase uses the lord's name in vein and since 65% of Americans are Christian I would assume that they would also be offended by the use of this phrase. I will no longer be able to allow my children to view your programming due to this and would ask that you have this phrase banned from your children's network. We have counted on Disney to provide wholesome entertainment for years, but I guess all good things must come to an end.

Submission (5 posting(s))

By Ryan Baker on 2008-06-14 03:19 PM

I am kind of a beginning freelance writer and aspiring actor. I will hopefully be attending AMDA in Los Angelese in the fall. I have some ideas for pilot TV sitcoms for Disney Channel and would like some input regarding the specifics of how or whom I should submit:

a) I am aware of literary agents which I do not have one at this time but I can go another route if necessary.

b) If I have an idea should I attempt to submit an outline of the series or a PILOT SPEC SCRIPT or both.

c) Whom should I contact regarding new series ideas?

d) I would also welcome information about how to begin work on this in a general sense.

e) If you have any opportunities for writing PLEASE contact me

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Movies (3 posting(s))

By Barbara Parkes on 2008-06-23 09:22 AM

Just wanted to share that my family and I were a little disappointed that "Camp Rock's" opening weekend was only on one time on our Disney Channel. We noticed it on ABC the next evening and watched it, again, but it wasn't the same with ALL the commercials, and we couldn't finish the movie because, even during the summer, I do not let my kid stay up much after 9:00.

We went and saw "Kung Fu Panda" and noticed that HSM3 will be in the theatres in the Fall. Bummer that we have to pay to see the movie, when we enjoyed watching 1 and 2 at home on our Disney Channel and then purchasing the DVD for our own collection.

I have also noticed that the evening Disney Movies on the Disney Channel are coming on really early and have missed not watching Disney movies before going to bed.
I am sorry that this email was not a more positive one, but I feel its something that needed to be shared.

Thank you for your time,
Barbara Parkes

Getting on Disney Channel (0 posting(s))

By Sharayah Bryson on 2008-06-30 06:43 AM

My name is Sharayah Bryson, I'm fifteen years old, and I live in Mesa, Arizona. I have dreamed, since I was little, to be in a Disney Channel show. My mom told me I would march around the house saying, "I want to be in a Disney show, I want to be in a Disney show!" when I was little. And that dream has never stopped. Just where I lived at the time, I couldn't. And now that I live like, nine hours away from L.A, I want to so bad. Auditions have come around many times, for like Hannah Montana and bit movies, but my parents had to work. Recently I attended an audition where someone who was maybe assosiated with Disney Channel, but I didn't get it. I've auditioned for many plays, but they never worked out. And it makes me sad that I'm denied the thing I love. I saw Camp Rock, and I loved it! Then I heard they were making Camp Rock 2, and I was so excited. I really want to be in it. My mom said that they're looking for people with talent and experiance. Would there be any way that I could get a chance without any former training? I really want this, and I'm determined to get it. I have trouble singing, pitch and my own sound, but I can learn. I've danced different styles, ballroom, hip hop, and going into contemporary. It's just, I've always wanted to do this, and I want to know if I have a chance. If not, I can tell my mom she was right, and then just go back to plain old me, and that person has no friends. Please, can you get in contact with me ASAP. I want to know. Thank You.

By Troy and Lisa on 2008-07-07 10:12 AM

Hi, my name is Maci, and I am a 14 year old HUGE Jonas Brothers fan. The local radio station 107.9 the end is holding a biggest fan contest and you have to make a video about how big of a fan you are, and you have to get a lot of views to win because that is part of the judging. The reason I am emailing you about this is because of the phenomenal amount of views and comments we have gotten on our video. Out video was added to youtube and entered into the contest about 6 days ago from today, and we have been increasing about 2000-3000 views a day. Now this hasn't come easy, me and my friend Denise who are both in the video have been glued to the computer non stop sending it to everyone we know because we want to win these backstage passes to meet the Jonas Brothers backstage at the concert July 16, and the winner gets that as a prize. As of right now as I am emailing you this we have over 18,000 views on the video and about 400 comments on it. We were even #57 - Most Discussed (This Week) - Music. Out of the whole world of youtube WE were number 57. can you believe it? I just thought that you might be interested in this, and that you might want to share with Sacramento our determination, and the phenomenal response we have had to this video.

Dear Disney Channel,
I have tryouts to a fundraising "Broadway Night" at my school this fall or spring and I would really like to sing and play piano to your camp rock song This is Me (Acoustic Version). I know that the music is probably copyrighted and all that, but I will sign any contracts that apply, I would just really like to learn that song, it goes along with everything I live for. I really hope that you would let me have the piano sheet music to it.
Thanks so much

hannah montana glasses (2 posting(s))

By Lori Meadows on 2008-07-31 08:26 AM

To whom it may concern:
There has been much hype about the upcoming Hannah Montana 3-D event this weekend. Your channel continuously advertises that glasses are available and free from Wal-Mart, however, we have 2 Wal-Marts here and neither store has any glasses left.
As you can imagine, my children are very upset and want to see this event. I don't know if the local stores are at fault for not ordering enough supply (because the bins for glasses were very small!!).
I wish that some other arrangement could have been made to ensure that everyone who wanted 3D glasses could have gotten them.

He thinks this because he signed Troy and every ones yearbook on asking them to play basketball with him. I really don't won't to break his heart because he doesn't understand that it's just a movie. So if by any chance that the cast can write him a letter saying that they would love to play with him but are busy and not able to make it and send him a picture or something it would really help. Maybe then he can stop looking out the window for them everyday. Thanks so much for all your help. It really means the world to us.

Dear Disney,

I believed that I was the only one with the dream of becoming famous but wow... you guys must get a million of these acting comments... so I'm guessing that you may never get back to me, though at least I can say that I tried.

I'm a thirteen year old with a dream, hows that sound. I love music, make my own, but never have found the right way to get it out. I actually went onto a poetry site to see if I could get some of my rhyming lyrics out there but of course that didn't work, I actually quit it after a week because everyone on that sight was crazy (Mentally).

I am very smart, not to toot my own horn... I am writing about ten books and cannot make them public because of publishing companies that do not believe that children under seventeen should be writing. Not just because they are too young, but because they cannot take criticism, which I can take it very well and get offended when adults stereotype the under seventeen persona.

I use to have a problem with speaking publicly though I can say that I am now very comfortable with it. I want to have a career with Disney only because I have very big dreams of going to Harvard or another university, that I can expand my horizons at and I think that having a career with Disney can broaden my view a bit and give me a salary that can help me if I do not get a full scholarship.

I wish to make a difference in this world and help little kids realize that they can achieve thier dreams, big or small. Being famous would help me accomplish that... I really don't bask in glory, I just want to help. As for my experience in acting, I will be totally honest and say I never have done any acting in the big leagues, and have only done a bit for my family and school. Singing is another thing...

My singing is okay, I have never really gotten a comment from anybody who wasn't a already my friend or family. I have great ideas for songs and love choreographing dances. I have taken many dance classes when I was nine and quited at the age of 11 because school was a hard thing to juggle.

I think that I can juggle it though now, as I have a 4.0 grade average and would love to inspire youth. Details can be discussed later if you do decide to pick me, thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you, Whitnee

Hello Sir or madam,

I am a thirteen year old with a dream, how’s that sound? My dream is one shared by millions and that would be to become the next Disney Channel star, though I don't just want to be an actor, because this dream of mine has many reasons to it.

One reason I want to become a star is not for me as it is more for the children of the world. I believe that I can inspire them and be a very great model for them to look up to. I have grown up in a society that has many different people from around the world and I love to hear their plans for the future, and I always say, "Dream big, or don't dream at all. You can be anything you set your mind to."

Another reason is for educational purposes. I am a persistent person, and once I have set my mind to something, I go for it. I have made up my mind that I was going to go to a university (no specifics) as I have a 4.0 grade point average, I'm in an advanced English class that goes for one of my high school credits, and I want a masters in business management and anything else that I feel appealing when I get there. How Disney can help is it will first of all widen my horizons and next, give me the salary that I need if I do not get a full scholarship. I will have all my schooling done over the net if you can find me a job.

As for my experience in different subjects that will help me get the job… I will be totally honest when I say that I have never done acting in the big leagues, though I have done this for school functions and my family’s holiday plays. Nevertheless I my musical ability is top notch, not to toot my own horn… I have played the bass Tuba in band for three years and guitar as a hobby. My singing is pretty good; I have to say that my family and friends are usually the only ones who judge, so if you pick me for a part in something I guess you will have to hear it for yourself.

My last reason for becoming famous is that I am very smart… and I love to write. I actually am writing about ten books and the biggest dilemma I have is all the publishing companies. For one reason or another, the publishing company sites that I have visited (about sixty) have an age limit of seventeen years for people who want to write for teenagers and most ask of the minimum wage that you earn, which I do not really get any. I actually don’t even believe that the companies have a right to ask in a way and I believe that Disney could help.

This, all straight out of the mouth of a thirteen year old, with more dreams that you could think of.
Thank you for your consideration,

Help needed (0 posting(s))

By Gale Podsiadlo on 2008-09-16 03:59 PM

I am not sure if this is the correct site to ask this question, hopefully you can lead me in the correct direction.

I have a daughter who is 7 years old. She is paralyzed from the chest down, due to this, her size is quite large for a child. She wears a women's 14-16. My daughter was given the best life expectancy of 72 hours, it was a terrible ordeal, but as I wrote she is 7 years old. We are very lucky to have her - she is our miracle, both of our children are, but she is something special. Because of this, I am writing to you for help. My daughter is like every other 7 year old in the world - in love with Hannah Montana. We own just about everything Hannah. The one thing that my daughter would love to have is Hannah clothes. Just a t-Shirt. We do have 1 T-shirt, it is on a stuffed animal because it is too small for her. Is there any way to get a shirt in a woman's size? Is there any way to get a decal that I can sew or iron on a shirt? i would love for her to have a shirt that she can wear. I understand why they don't sell Hannah Montana in woman's sizes, however I need one. Please let me know if there is somewhere out there that I can get a shirt or a decal. I have not been able to find anything.

Hopelessly looking and not ready to give up,

i was watching The Suite Life of Zach and Cody with my son and daughter. Where is the talent? how much do you pay for writers, because it aint enough. there is no true talent on that show. its beyone stupid and i cant believe its in production.

then there was a movie on tonight in which there was a food fight in a school cafeteria. what kind of values do you think that teaches our children when there are children in american going hungry?

Disney Chanel TV Schedule (1 posting(s))

By Sharron on 2009-01-08 09:21 PM

I too allow my daughter to watch this channel daily but lately I have had to turn to different programing I love all the shows and the kids, but you guys need to do a better job at adding new programming I have watched the same show over and over for months, so therefore I know the kids have seen these same shows even more.

I agree also with the previous mother that you need to go ahead and release the African American Princess movie set in New Orleans and others. Also I was so glad to see that The Proud family was added to todays programming this is why I searched to find a place where I could let you know how happy i was to see them again except at 3am when my child is sound asleep. Keep changing it up it is absolutely necessary!!!

We Love Disney and Support you in all that you do to keep us Happy and sane in these dire times, but would hate to see a loss of support by the public because repeat products being repackaged over and over and over!!!!

A few years back I watched a beautiful show on TV called "Natures Half Acre". They showed closely timed video shots of flowers growing, blooming, and many other things such as insects, and anything that you could find on a little half acre of land.It was all set and in time to beautiful classical music. Was this a Disney film?I am trying to find this film to show to my grandkids. Please, can you tell me where I can find it? Thanx so much. Winnie Scott

I have been watching Disney channel for over 20 years. Since I have become an adult I have seen your channel change for the worse. I know you are trying to cater to the preteen and teen generation with the shows like Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place, but when you've watched one you've seen them all. Where are the classic disney cartoons you guys use to play in the afternoons? Can't you guys mix it up a little, teen shows and a little bit of mickey mouse? Isn't those cartoons the start of the great Disney Channel? Come on, I would love for my children to see what disney channel was all about. Please consider this. Thanks for reading.

Disney Channel movies (145 posting(s))

Hello Disney,
Im Rachel I am 16 years old.I grew up watching Disney Channel and this may sound silly but its one of the reasons I am the person that I am today.I grew up with shows such as Lizzie McGuire,The Jersey,So Weird,The Famous Jet Jackson and movies such as Toothless,Brink,Wish Upon a Star,Underwraps,You Lucky Dog,The Thirteenth Year,Dont Look Under the Bed,Halloweentown, Cadet Kelly and many many more.Although one movie in particular stood out to me and was one of my favorites for the longest time. This is movie is really a great movie.Susie Q.Now its been 11 years maybe since I last saw this movie ANYWHERE.Its currently 11:13 January 30, 2009 and I was thinking of watching a movie. There are many movies in the world but for some reason Susie Q popped in my head.
I wanted to watch a really great movie and I guess thats what came up.I know it seems stupid to be up at 11:00 at night and wanting to watch a 13 year old movie right?Wrong, this movie ,means something to me and a lot of other people still. How can a movie mean a lot to some one? grow up with something you just cant let it go.The reason I am writing you tonight is because I went to go look up Susie Q on your website and I didn't see it.In fact I looked it up other places on the internet and I couldn't find it any where.I couldn't find anything I grew up with on your website. As a matter of fact you don't show any shows that I grew up with any more.I dont think that's very good. Here's why, when I was little I grew up as a dork and alone,no sister no mother no girlfriends no guys friends, nothing. The only thing I had was my shows and movies on Disney Channel. The only person that was really there was my grandma but she didn't really understand the things you went through at school when you were my age but you did Disney. My Grandma died in 2004 so I was alone again.
The shows and movies that used to play on Disney helped me grow up.They taught me how to do right how to deal with certain situations how to get through not being accepted all the time by every one.Im just writing to see if maybe you can bring back Susie Q on the Disney Channel.I do still watch it..its been 16 years almost 17 since I started watching it.Susie Q is a great movie and it has a great moral to it.I think that the generation now would like this movie would be interesting to them. Also it would mean a lot to the 90's babies. If you would go on the search and see the things people say about old disney shows and movies like Susie Q then you would see where I am coming from.I am asking you to please air Susie Q for all faithful disney watchers from the 90's.
Thank you.
                                                          Sincerely Yours,
                                                             Rachel Allisa

Kim Possible fan (3 posting(s))

By R Gaussie on 2009-03-22 10:06 AM

I figured that I wanted to tell you that I'm a truly huge fan of Kim Possible.  Since we got Direct TV, I noticed that Kim Possible was on after midnight between 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM for Disney Channel 2 (Channel 291) and 1:30 AM to 2:00 AM on Disney Channel 1 (Channel 290).  I hope that you wouldn't mind that you would rather air the Kim Possible TV series anywhere between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, since I'm often awake between 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, or 10:00 PM!  To be honest, Kim Possible is extremely my favorite cartoon among most of the shows aired on Disney Channel without doubt.
